Getting Started

Cobb Can Move is a survival horror game where the rules change every level. To survive, you must learn fast, adapt constantly, and never assume the last rule still applies.

Getting Started

Step 1: Read the Level Text

Before you move, read the level text carefully. It tells you exactly what Cobb can do. This is not optional—the game expects you to know the danger before you face it.

When You SeePrepare To
"Cobb Can SEE"Stay in darkness
"Cobb Can HEAR"Move carefully
"Cobb Can SMELL"Keep your distance

Step 2: Understand Your Surroundings

The top-down view shows walls, paths, switches, and exits clearly. Find:

  • Your objective (switch, exit, object to interact with)
  • Your escape route (nearest safe path)
  • Dark areas (for hiding when Cobb can see)

Step 3: Move with Purpose

When Cobb can hear, every step counts. Move in short bursts:

  1. Pause and observe
  2. Move a few steps toward your goal
  3. Pause and check Cobb's position
  4. Repeat until you reach your objective

Step 4: Manage Stacked Rules

As levels progress, abilities stack. A level might have Cobb seeing AND hearing. This means:

  • Stay in darkness AND move carefully
  • Use walls for cover AND reduce your footsteps

Why You Died

Every death in Cobb Can Move points back to a specific decision. When you fail, ask:

  • Did I move when Cobb could hear?
  • Did I trust the light when Cobb could see?
  • Did I stay too close when Cobb could smell?

Learning from each death makes the next run better.
